Thank you Christopher for your comment. Indeed, library such as jupytext can be used to convert .ipynb to .py which can be useful in a project where there are existing notebooks.

I've tried it and it's a bit of a set up for minor benefit I find, but that only my onw experience, one may find it fits his needs.
